Never ask for directions
again.
Walk your space with your phone. Visitors scan a QR code. They find what they're looking for. That's it.
See a scanned space.

A digital layer for
physical spaces.
Capture
A space manager records a brief walkthrough video of the environment on their phone.
Compute
Our servers reconstruct the video into 3D. Vision models label the objects. No manual work required.
Navigate
Print the QR code on the wall. Visitors scan it and get routed instantly.
Open-vocabulary search.
Visitors don't say 'tool #4.' They say 'the thing that cuts metal,' or 'that blue printer,' or 'bandsaw.' Wherein understands all of it.
Semantic auto-tagging.
Wherein knows what a bandsaw looks like. And a 3D printer. And a fire extinguisher. You just confirm, rename, or drag.
Physical signage doesn't scale.
✕Static Maps
- ✕Requires physical re-printing when layouts change.
- ✕Only lists top-level rooms.
- ✕Visitors still bother staff to find specific items.
Wherein
- Move a machine, walk the arc, done.
- Finds the exact shelf. Not just the room.
- Visitors stop asking. Staff stop answering.

Frequently asked questions.
Do visitors need to download an app?
No. Visitors scan the QR code with their default camera app. It opens exactly like a web page and handles the 3D routing directly in the mobile browser.
What happens when we move furniture?
You don't need to re-scan the entire space. Using the manager dashboard, you can drag and drop the semantic pins to reflect the new layout. If major architectural changes happen, just record a new 3-minute video.
Is scanning safe — what about privacy?
Faces and people are completely ignored by the processing pipeline. The models are specifically looking for geometry, tools, and signs, not humans. The final map contains zero personal identifiers.
What happens to the data if we cancel?
Your space belongs to you. If you cancel, the map unpublishes and we completely purge the point cloud and video data from our systems. No questions asked.
Does this integrate with our systems?
At the Institution tier, yes. We offer Single Sign-On and raw API access so you can embed Wherein spatial queries directly into your existing university or corporate dashboard.
Who labels all the POIs — us or you?
The vision model does 90% of the work by identifying machines and objects from the video. You simply review its work in the manager portal, change names if you want something specific, and click publish.
What if our space has multiple floors?
Our Department and Institution tiers support linked spaces. A visitor searching for 'laser cutter' on Floor 1 will be directed to the stairwell QR code, which then routes them on Floor 2.
Does this work without GPS?
Yes. Wherein relies entirely on visual positioning. It works perfectly in deep basements, dense concrete labs, and areas with completely dead cellular signals.
